Bayside Village BID Bring Holiday Spirit to Bell Boulevard:
The
Bayside community came out in force for the annaul Bayside Village BID hosted the annual Bayside Christmas Tree and
Menorah lighting on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Long Island
Railroad. The BID was joined by State Senator Tony Avella, Councilman
Dan Halloran, Jerry Iannece, Community Board 11 Chair, Dave Fisher,
Assemblyman Braunstein's Office as well as Rabbi Yossi Balofsky, Chabad
of Northeast Queens and Deacon Bill McNamara, Sacred Heart of Jesus
Parish. The program was emceed by Dominick Bruccoleri, Chairman
Bayside Village BID.
This year's program was sponsored
by the Law Offices of Triades & Triades. After the Holiday Lighting the community sang Holiday songs while enjoying refreshments doncated by CJ Sullivan's and Bayside Milk Farm.
This year the BID partnered with Bayside High School with a performance
by their Jazz Combo, and the BID will be honored students
from the Bayside High School creative arts program who created the new banners
that will be hanging throughout the BID this winter.

it blitzkrieg marketing or whatever you will but with the intention of re-establishing Bayside
and The Bell Boulevard Business Corridor as “THE” destination
point everyone thinks of first this season when going out to shop or
dine, The Bayside Village Business Improvement District’s (BID) three
consecutive weekends of socially conscious, retail promoting, pedestrian
building, music filled festivals (complimented by our Halloween Window Contest
and it’s upcoming fashion shows) just pulled Bayside out from behind our
neighboring business districts and out performed Douglaston, Little Neck, Great
Neck, Astoria, Flushing, Whitestone, Austin Street, Fresh Meadows and
Sunnyside in it's social and street activity and draw for consumers.
